On Friday, March 21 from 4-8pm the pool area will be closed due to a swim meet.
On Saturday, March 22 from 8-11:30am the Wytheville Parks and Recreation Department will be working in conjunction with the Fire/Rescue Department to conduct training drills in the aquatic area. The purpose of the training drills is to provide an opportunity for staff from each department to work together during a simulated emergency in order to further enhance patron safety should an emergency occur. We ask that patrons please be mindful of staff moving in and out of the facility as we practice these drills. The pool area will be closed to the public until 11:30am. Other areas of the facility such as the fitness hallway, lobby, sidewalk, and parking area may be impacted as well. We appreciate your understanding while we strive to keep the Recreation Department as safe as possible.
AEP will begin clearing underbrush along the Powerline Trail at Crystal Springs on March 12th, 2025. The trails will remain open during this. In early April heavy equipment may be used to clear brush and the park will close during that time. We will update this information and social media information as actual dates become available.
