Holiday Refuse Collection

Due to the Veterans Day holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Monday, November 11, 2024, will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The normal collection scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, 2024, will be held on that day.  

The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Center located at 1025 South Third Street will not have an attendant on duty on Monday, November 11, 2024, due to the Veterans Day holiday. The attendant will return to assist citizens on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Please note that when an attendant is not on duty, the Recycling Center's gates are closed, and items cannot be dropped off.

ELECTION DAY 2024 - News Release

Due to the Election Day holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Tuesday, November 5, 2024, will be made on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The normal collection scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024, will be made on that day.

News Release

The Town of Wytheville’s Sanitary Sewer Inflow and Infiltration Rehabilitation Project is beginning. Citizens can expect to see an increase in utility marks in and around property lines, road rights-of-way, alleyways and through existing utility easements. Citizens may also see large trucks and equipment performing inspections, cleaning and making repairs in these areas over the next six (6) to seven (7) months.
