Child Watch

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) states "that even before kindergarten, parents should be aware of ways to make the most of learning opportunities for their young children." An important choice for many families in their child's early years involves preschool or child care. Our quality early childhood program will provide:
- Opportunities to nurture the learning and development of young children
- Effective staff-to-child ratios and group sizes
- Safe and healthy environments
- Trained staff to foster healthy relationships and appropriate learning curriculum
- Nutritious meals and snacks
- Family involvement and hours of operation to meet parents needs
Wytheville Community College's Child Development Center will be a vital partner in WCC's two-year associate degree program in Early Childhood Development. The Child Development Center will serve as the lab site for students enrolled in the Early Childhood Development curriculum.
